WEPT Project is a unique training & enterprise project providing women from diverse cultural backgrounds with a safe and welcoming place in which to make new friends, learn new skills and engage in fashion enterprise activities to suit their particular needs and family commitments.

Our NCFE professional qualifications cover a range of disciplines including fashion and textiles, business, functional skills, employability and apprenticeship; areas we know will support the needs of the future workforce.
As a company, we have gone the extra mile to invest in some of the finest professionals we can find and also, we have put process and structures in place that will ensure that we are always at the top of our game when it comes to impacting knowledge.
Physical & virtual classroom
We offer blended learning programmes delivered in the traditional physical, face-face classroom and virtual classroom. Virtual classroom is a digital replica of the traditional classroom. Our instructors teach, and our participants learn in real-time, face-to-face but via internet-enabled technology devices. The classroom staple – whiteboard – remains intact. Learning, brainstorming, ideation, and discussions happen in real-time.
Due to Covid-19, we deliver certain element/units of the course in virtual classroom in groups of up to 50 learners and the practical units such as industrial stitching/sewing in physical classroom, currently in small groups of 2 to 6 learns to maintain government social distancing guidelines and measures
- Learners will research and compare sources and contexts to inspire their ideas for craft. Opportunity to present their ideas to others to gain feedback on which to adapt or improve their idea.
- Develop their ideas by researching, debating and adapting before selecting and justifying their final choice.
- Explore different materials and develop an understanding of the visual and tactile qualities of them.
- Develop their techniques for manipulation of different craft materials and develop the use of tools needed whilst ensuring that they observe the health and safety aspects of the materials, tools and techniques used.
- Learners will research enterprises in their chosen craft area and understand what makes them successful.
- Also explore employment opportunities, identify their own strengths and areas for development and devise an action plan to meet their career aspirations.
- Plan, produce and evaluate their own textiles craft work.
- Prepare the tools, materials and equipment required to produce their craft piece whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- Opportunity to display their finished piece in an appropriate way or setting for others to see.
- Evaluate the whole creative process and record any issues/challenges they faced and any areas for improvement.
